Global Head of Industry Vertical Marketing
John Petralia is the global head of marketing for industry vertical businesses, employer branding and marketing operations at Bloomberg LP. Since 2009, he has helped build and lead a world class marketing team to support the company’s growth objectives, transforming how the brand is perceived and supporting 50% revenue growth. Prior to Bloomberg, John was senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Iron Mountain, where he transformed the brand and supported revenue growth from $1 to $3 billion over 5 years. He was responsible for marketing, communications and product management. John's bias for growth, penchant for analytics, ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into successful product and services with award winning marketing programs supported Iron Mountain's transformational agenda from an acquisitive to an organic growth strategy. Prior to joining Iron Mountain, he was vice president and general manager of a global business unit he started at Xerox Corporation. His prior experience includes a variety of general management, marketing, product management, sales, and operations positions with international technology, information services and online distribtion companies. John was recognized in 2012 as a top 20 CMO globally by Execrank. He sits on the advisory board of the CMO Council, the editorial board for the Applied Marketing Analytics Journal, frequently speaks and writes about B2B marketing best practices, and is featured in the book “Big Data Marketing: Engage Your Customers More Effectively and Drive Value”. He co-chairs the executive leadership committee of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s NYC chapter and enjoys training and racing in triathlons to raise money for cancer research.
