David Haigh
• Director • Brand Finance

David Haigh qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in London. He worked in international financial management then moved into the marketing services sector, firstly as Financial Director of The Creative Business and then as Financial Director of WCRS & Partners.

He left to set up a financial marketing consultancy, which was later acquired by Publicis, the pan European marketing services group, where he worked as a director for five years. Haigh moved to Interbrand as Director of Brand Valuation in its London-based global brand valuation practice, leaving in 1996 to launch Brand Finance.

Christoph Kaderli
• VP EMEA Marketing, Performance Management Systems, Alliances • Cognos

Christoph Kaderli has over 20 years' IT and management experience to his name. Having gained a thorough grounding in computer sciences at Siemens and Industrade, Kaderli joined Data General Corporation as a sales executive, where he later headed up the Major Accounts and Government units. He subsequently acquired additional business management qualifications at the University of St.Gallen before becoming Chief Executive Officer of IBV Group, which operated in the areas of systems management and CRM solutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Kaderli also co-founded Inter-Networking AG, a IT-communications company.

In 1995 Kaderli launched Information Tools AG, a business intelligence firm which he successfully developed to a leading position in Switzerland. 1999 Cognos Inc. acquired Information Tools AG. His initial assignment at Cognos was Country Manager at Cognos ( Switzerland) AG. In May 2003, he was promoted to Managing Director Switzerland, Marketing and Business Development Central and Eastern Europe, one of the highest-volume BI markets. Early 2004 Kaderli became Director European Marketing operations for Cognos, leading all marketing and business development activities within the EMEA region. In June 2006 Kaderli was promoted to Vice President of European Field Marketing. Since March 2007 Kaderli, besides marketing and business development, is leads the Alliances business and the performance management systems business in EMEA.

Dr. Willms Buhse
• Executive Director • Core Media

Executve Director and member of the executive committee since November 2003, Dr. Willms Buhse is responsible for CoreMedia’s global marketing and communication. Dr. Buhse has been active in the field of strategic technology and digital rights management for many years. From 1999 to 2003, he worked with Bertelsmann AG and BMG in Gütersloh, Hamburg and New York, USA, where he co-founded Bertelsmann Digital World Services, a pioneer in the field of digital rights management (DRM).

Elected Vice Chair of the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) in 2003, Dr. Buhse plays a leading role in developing open standards for mobile content delivery. Dr. Buhse: "CoreMedia contributes to creating open standards that allow operators to deliver premium content to consumers in a way that both secure and easy to use. It means a better user experience that can fully exploit the benefits of convergence." As the biggest step ever taken by a mobile operator to implement a DRM solution, Vodafone now uses CoreMedia DRM to ensure secure distribution of premium content to its mobile subscribers.

Dr. Buhse holds degrees in Industrial Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) and in Management Sciences (Dipl.-Oec.) from the University of Hanover, Germany and Madrid, Spain. He gained his Ph.D. in Economics from the Technical University of Munich, with a research thesis entitled Digital Rights Management vs. the Darknet – Competitive Strategies and Business Models for the Music Industry. He has also written and edited two books on digital rights management, and has spoken at more than 110 conferences on the subject of digital distribution in the media industry. In addition, he advised the European Commission and several parliaments in the field of copyright legislation.

After several years in Madrid, Spain and New York, USA, Dr. Buhse now lives and works in Hamburg, Germany and is a member of the Recording Academy and the Mobile Entertainment Forum, MEF, here he is part of the newly established European Board.

Malcolm McDonald
• MA(Oxon), MSc, PhD, D.Litt. FCIM FRSA • Emeritus Professor, Marketing

Malcolm McDonaldAs Professor of Marketing and Deputy Director at Cranfield School of Management with special responsibility for E-Business, Malcom is a graduate in English Language and Literature from Oxford University, in Business Studies from Bradford University Management Center, and has a PhD from Cranfield University. He also has an honorary Doctorate from Bradford University. He has extensive industrial experience, including a number of years as Marketing Director of Canada Dry.

He is Chairman of six companies and spends much of his time working with the operating boards of the world’s biggest multinational companies, such as IBM, Xerox, BP and the like, in most countries in the world, including Japan, USA, Europe, South America, ASEAN and Australia.

He has written forty-two books, including the best seller "Marketing Plans; how to prepare them; how to use them" and many of his papers have been published.

His current interests center around the use of information technology in advanced marketing processes and global best practice key account management.

Richard Robinson

Richard Robinson is Industry Head for Technology at Google where he works with leading IT & Telecoms vendors and partners in delivering highly effective online marketing strategies.

Richard has spent over a decade assisting ICT vendors in the development and implementation of effective go-to-market programmes. He has led many strategic marketing initiatives across various business and technology areas and is a seasoned presenter at industry and customer events and has spearheaded many 'thought leadership' presentations.

Prior to Google, Richard was Vice President at IDC, where he led IDC Consulting and Marketing Services business in Europe and he also led the Client Services division of IDG's International sales team based in EMEA.

Andrew Shaw

Andrew Shaw is the Vice President responsible for leading MarketBridge in Europe. MarketBridge are a leading professional services company focusing on helping leading multinationals improve their Sales and Marketing performance. Recent clients in Europe include Microsoft, SAP, BT, Avaya, MasterCard and Philips.

Andrew has over 15 years’ experience of managing sales and marketing performance improvement programmes, both as a consultant and in industry. His experience includes defining new go-to-market strategies, implementing sales and marketing improvement programmes, and improving processes across multiple channels and markets. He has extensive experience of leading large sales and marketing transformations, particularly in a multi-national environment.

Andrew has a BSc (Hons) in Management Sciences from Loughborough University and a Diploma in Marketing.

Philippe Dumont

Philippe joined Microsoft in 1988 as the Spreadsheet Product Manager in Microsoft France in charge of Excel and Multiplan and then became the Product Marketing Manager on DOS, Windows and Windows NT until 1992.

He then joined Symantec where he created the marketing department to then take on the corporate sales team in France where he doubled the revenue for 3 consecutive years.

In 1996, Philippe was appointed Managing Director for France which he grew to the second largest revenue contributor after the US. From 1998 to 2000, Philippe served as Managing Director for West Europe. Then Philippe, as Sr. Director of Global Operations and Customer Satisfaction, envisioned and created their global Customer Satisfaction Program which was linked to many business process, product and support quality initiatives he also spearheaded.

Philippe re-joined Microsoft in September 2002 as General Manager EMEA Business Operations reporting to the EMEA CEO. In 2004, Philippe was appointed as GM, EMEA Marketing and Communications and is responsible for defining and orchestrating Marketing and Communications strategies for Microsoft in EMEA.

Philippe graduated from HEC Business School in 1988 with a Major in Marketing. During his free time, he enjoys skiing, tennis, golf and spending time traveling with his wife and his two sons.

David Sibley

Since People’s Achieving inception he has provided this service on 11 major campaigns and achieved a 100% win rate, the largest of these being a €230 Million IT outsourcing contract. He has a strong belief in the relationship between the customer buying cycle and the selling cycle, and how marketing can help leverage this information to provide targeted campaigns that really increase win rate percentages

Prior to establishing People Achieving in 2004, David was the Director of Major Accounts at Computacenter Plc, one of Europe’s largest IT Services providers, with revenues exceeding €4 Billion. Consistently the winner of the company’s top sales award, David was responsible for winning some of Computacenter’s largest accounts including BT, The Post Office, The Inland Revenue, National Power and Barclays Bank Plc. At Computacenter David was also responsible for the coaching and development of the sales force, developing a sales methodology still used today in conjunction with CRM systems.

David will provide delegates with a unique insight into the sales environment and how the relationship with Marketing can be optimised for real business performance.

Claus Sølvsteen

ClausSølvsteen has 13 years experience in the development and implementation of strategies and solutions for new digital media. He is responsible for the internet strategy of publications such as Politiken, Tiscali Denmark and Tiscali Nordic. His international experience includes working with development of 15 portals for Tiscali In 2003 he also developed and implemented a result-driven strategy for Tiscalis portals in Scandinavia.

Between 1991 and 2000 he was a journalist, editor and ultimately managing editor at Politiken. Between 2000 and 2003 he worked for World Online and was Business Unit Manager for Tiscali.  Sølvsteen was the first Danish citizen with his own private internet email address.

Les Hayman

Les Hayman is SAP Ambassador within the office of the CEO. He is responsible for representing the interests of SAP’s board and those of SAP’s eco-system of customers and partners in government and industry think-tanks and other discussion and decision forums globally.

From February 2003 to May 2005, Les was Head of SAP Global Human Resources, responsible for all of SAP’s human resources activities worldwide. From 2002 – 2003, Les served as Chairman of SAP’s EMEA region and, prior to this, as President and CEO for SAP in the Asia-Pacific region.

Before joining SAP, he held various senior executive positions in companies such as Digital Equipment (as Regional Director) and Sun Microsystems (where he was Managing Director) in New Zealand and Australia.

Stefan Osthaus

Stefan Osthaus heads-up Symantec’s Consumer Marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as the company’s Global Consumer Marketing Operations. During his more than 10 years with Symantec, Osthaus held senior positions in several parts of the company, including Consumer, Small Business, Channel and Enterprise Marketing as well as Marketing Operations. In an environment of increased attention to security issues in private homes and their impact on corporate IT environments, it is Symantec’s focus to keep security solutions easy to deploy and manage in order to help consumers and businesses protecting valuable information on their PCs and handheld devices.

Stefan joined Symantec from Japanese Office and Consumer Electronics manufacturer Canon and also has a strong advertising agency background. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Muenster in Germany.

Christiane Diekmann
• Brand Strategist • Global Marketing of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants

Christiane Diekmann works as a brand strategist in the Global Marketing department of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. She is based in Düsseldorf, Germany. In this capacity, she is responsible for all projects relevant to the brand positioning, strategic marketing and global marketing planning of the consultancy and its 32 offices in 21 countries. Previous to joining Roland Berger in 2004, Christiane managed a subsidiary of a Coca-Cola bottler for eight years. In this position, she developed and devised innovative factory outlets and managed a lifestyle-oriented retail chain. As a Senior Consultant with Arthur Andersen from (1992-1996), she worked on strategy, marketing and organizational projects for leading international clients in the retail, chemical, automotive and durable goods industries. Christiane holds a Masters degree in Economics and Strategic Marketing from the University of Münster.
